Yesterday Micha and Maliki went to the show in Castrop Rauxel. It was a long time ago Maliki went to a show; 6 months ago. The floor in the hall was just as ice, everyone had some troubles with it. Despite this problem he liked it very well and did a good job. The result was not we hoped for, next time better, he had no placement and a Very Good. We had a nice day out together.

Every day our little king Maliki makes a step forward in becoming an adult, but today is a really special day: his second birthday. A day in which our birthday boy will be king for a day and will make us smile like always.We thought it would be impossible for the little clown to become a real mature boy but he proves that he can. He still is funny and playful with everyone and every dog. Shows no agression ever and is enthusiastic in everything he does. Besides that he is a real friend of Gwyn and Kijani and of course for us. He completes our pack in every way and we hope he will do that for a lot more years in future.

Last week we received wonderfull news: our kennelname KIMAJALI is approved by trhe dutch kennel club and the FCI. Although we are experienced RR lovers for eight years, the names of our latest additions to the pack, our two wonderfull boys, where the inspiration for this name. These two stunners let us experience the world of showing and breeding and we hope to make new steps in this world within coming years. At this moment we are looking for the most lovely, healthy and suitable bitch who might be the founder of Kimajali Rhodesian Ridgebacks.

Today we received the official X-ray results of the dutch kennelclub from Maliki. He has HD-A (Norbergwaarde 40) for his hips and his elbows ED free and free of OCD. He already received the german results of his shoulder which were free of OCD . Another Healthy dog in our pack!!!

Last weekend I spent all alone the weekend in Germany with Kijani on our own mini-holiday. We enjoyed our stay in Nieheim and her beautiful surroundings and entered the DZRR Clubshow in Gut Externbrock. There where a lot of wonderfull rr friends who made this trip Excellent. And that grade has not been given often by the judges mr. Sanders and ms. Hallf. A lot of people where dissapointed by the strict but in my opinion often correct judgements.
So that’s why I was very glad that Kijani gained an Excellent both of the days: saturday 4 Excellent and sunday 3 Excellent . Kijani really liked it in the ring and once again it was a great pleasure to be his handler.

This weekend we went for a short trip to the wonderful country Denmark. We love this country and this time we explored Kolding and surroundings. The dogs loved the walks, the beach, the hotel and the shopping (there’s a petshop in the city) and so did we.
We made the trip to Denmark not only for a nice weekend but also because we wanted to celebrate the birthday of a wonderfull RR: Kali, father of Kijani and grandfather of Maliki who became 9 years old. He still is in perfect shape and health and as amazing as ever! We loved the company of Lene and Nicolai and of course Poma who we could finally meet.
This weekend there was a CACIB dogshow in Vejen so we entered our boys to. Maliki did a good job in intermediate class. He recieved very nice comments and this judge also says he needs time to grow out. We decided not to enter Maliki in nearby future and let him grow out into a real adult. If you cannot miss him, you can always come by for a walk and a hug. :-) Oh he gained a 2 Very good.
Kijani entered a strong open class and did a very good job. The judge G. Schicker had a hard time choosing her number one out of Kijani and Poma. Both were wonderfull movers and true to the prefered ridgeback type. They had to run and run and run. And then again run and run and run and finally she decided after walking up and down together that Poma was her number one today. So Kijani became 2 Excellent with a compliment of the judge.
The day went way to fast and duty calls so after a satisfying weekend we drove home. Thank you all for this wonderfull weekend. We will be back soon I hope to do more exploring, shopping and walking.

Coursingtime!!
We already entered in february and finally the time was there: july 18th the 1th DZRR coursing in Gelsenkirchen. And it was worth waiting for. We had a super sunny and enjoying day and with wonderfull results.
Our little Maliki made his first adult steps on coursing ground. He was fast with a lot of intelligence but missed a little concentration and needed some help. But… for a first time runner he did a promising run.
Gwyn was a first time runner too and was our surprise of the day. She completed both of her runs with a lot of speed and temperament. Next time she will be with the placements
And Kijani.. he did it again!! For the fourth time in a row he became best male of the day!! Yes we are proud of him but most of all we are so happy that our dogs enjoy coursing as much as we do.

On this extremely sunny day we planned a show with Kijani in Belgium. Despite the high temperatures in the exhibition center he did a good job and the judge (J.P. Achtergael) gave him a 2 Excellent in Champion class. We are satisfied with that result! Unfortunatelly we have no pictures of today because Micha had to work
